Pool Rules and Regulations

General
1. Only members of Grace Ridge who are current with HOA dues may use the pool.

2. You must use your key to enter the pool area. Do not open the gates for anyone. See the section for Automatic Deactivation. Please make sure the gates are closed at all times.

3. Use the pool at your own risk. There is NO lifeguard on duty. Do NOT swim alone. Grace Ridge HOA is not responsible for any injury, damage, or loss to any person while at the pool unless it can be provedto have been caused by direct negligence of the Association, pool attendant, or any member of the
facilities. By using the pool, anyone in the area agrees to hold harmless Grace Ridge HOA.

4. Do not play with any pool safety or other pool equipment.

5. No abusive or objectionable language will be permitted on Grace Ridge property.

6. Only foot traffic is allowed in the pool area. NO bicycles, skateboards, skates, etc.

7. Umbrellas must be lowered upon leaving the table and pool area by those who were using them.

8. The pool may be closed at the discretion of the Board of Directors in case of thunder, lightning, pool maintenance, or HOA events.

9. Please note: this area is under 24 hour video surveillance.

Pool hours, Age Requirement and Guests
1. Pool Hours: 9am to 9pm Monday and Friday, 7:30am to 9:00pm other days of the week, May 1st to September 30th. No one is allowed in the pool area after 9pm.

2. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult (someone who is 18 years of age or older and is the parent, guardian, or relative).

3. A household may host no more than a maximum of five (5) guests per day.

4. Residents must be present and are responsible for their guests at all times. Guest(s) may not enter the pool before their accompanying resident(s) arrive, and guest(s) must depart when their accompanying resident(s) departs.


Safety and Cleanliness
1. All swimmers must shower before entering the pool.

2. NO DIVING or RUNNING is allowed.

3. Smoking and vaping permitted in designated smoking area only. No smoking or vaping while in the pool or on the edges of the pool. Use cigarette butt containers and DO NOT put cigarettes out on the pool deck or pool area.

4. Food and drinks are permitted but must be cleaned up properly. Please clean up your trash and personal items before you leave. Eating in the pool is NOT permitted.

5. Running, rough, boisterous, or lewd and lascivious conduct will NOT be tolerated.

6. Children still in diapers MUST use swim diapers in the pool.

7. Anyone having open wounds, sores, or wearing bandages is not permitted in the pool.

NOTE: Any specific complaints can be submitted to the board at board@graceridgehoa.com.

Penalties
The following are the consequences if an infraction of any one or more of the above rules occurs: (The board of directors will administer the consequences)

1st offense: Warning

2nd offense: Key fob deactivation for 1 week

3rd offense: Key fob deactivation for 1 month

4th offense: Possible termination of pool privileges for the season

NOTE: Multiple infractions of the above rules during same day use of the pool may result in escalated
consequences.


Automatic Deactivation
One (1) month or up to permanent deactivation of key fob will occur for infractions listed below:

Charges may also be filed.

1. Destruction/vandalism of Grace Ridge HOA property (pool or otherwise).

2. Throwing objects into the pool such as trash, chairs, tables, edible items, and anything that doesn’t belong in the pool.

3. Letting someone into the pool area who doesn’t have a working key fob.

4. Fighting or communicating threats.

5. Illegal drug use, disorderly conduct, or other illegal activity as deemed by state or local law.

6. No pets allowed in the pool area.

7. No glass items are allowed in the pool area. If the NC Inspector comes by and finds glass either on the pool deck or in the pool trash cans, by law the pool will have to be drained. This will be done at
the homeowner’s expense and pool privileges will be suspended for the remainder of the season.

8. No charcoal grills, gas grills, or grills of any kind permitted inside the pool gate.

Any and all applicable fees will be charged to the member in question for any destruction to Grace Ridge HOA property that has to be repaired, replaced, or cleaned. Criminal charges may also be filed where applicable.

*The Grace Ridge HOA board may amend the pool rules and regulations as conditions change and in
order to provide a safe environment.
